The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks applications for formula funding to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings to states to support a range of program areas under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program—Local Solicitation. With this solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks to award Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funds to eligible units of local government. (BJA will issue a separate solicitation for applications from states.)
With this solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance seeks applications for formula funding to provide additional personnel and/or purchase equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings, including for any one or more of the following program areas:
- Law enforcement programs.
The City of Newark will share equally with Licking County $11,646. In federal grant funds. The City of Newark plans to target its funding of $5,823. Towards the purchase of Computer Aided Dispatch monitors. The Licking County Sheriff will utilizes $5,823 towards the purchase of AEDs. The equipment requests will improve officer and public safety.
