Thank you for visiting the office of the City Treasurer. I am grateful to be elected as the Treasurer of the City of Newark and I am passionate about serving its citizens. We strive to deliver taxpayers an optimal service experience in every interaction with our office. *Please be advised of our cut-off time for assistance is 4:00pm to accommodate both yourself and our staff. The Newark Income Tax Office is located on the Main Floor of the City Building on the corner of 4th and West Main Streets in downtown Newark.

Appointments

February: Mondays 02/12 & 02/26; Tuesdays 02/06 & 02/20; Thursdays 02/01, 02/08, 02/22, & 02/29; Fridays 02/02 & 02/16

March: All weekdays (with exception of Wednesdays); No weekends

Walk-ins

ONLY Walk-in Service will be available April 1st through April 15th of 2024.

Extended Office Hours:

Thursday, March 21st – By appointment only. Appointments from 5 – 7 pm

Thursday, April 4th – Walk-in Tax Preparation until 7:00 pm (Please sign-in by 6:00 pm)

Payments

We accept Cash, Checks or Money Orders in office or by using either one of the Drop Boxes located in the Lobby (between 8am – 4pm weekdays) or the Exterior location on the westside of the building (across from barber and pawn shops, available 24 hrs).
